Totus Tuus

Youth Summer Catechesis - Totus Tuus

One Week Can Inspire a Lifetime!

Totus Tuus is a Latin phrase meaning “totally yours.” It was the motto of St. John Paul II and taken from Louis De Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary and it signifies our desire to give ourselves entirely to Jesus through Mary.

The mission of the Totus Tuus Summer Program is to inspire in the next generation a true longing for holiness, a deep desire for daily conversion, and an openness to their vocation by constantly challenging them to give themselves to Christ through Mary’s example.

The Totus Tuus Missionary Team consists of four college aged catechist/ witnesses. There will be two young women, and two young men who have committed their summer to deepening their own faith through prayer, worship, and spreading the word of God at witnesses.

The Totus Tuus Program is designed for young people first grade through high school in two separate programs. The middle school/high school program will run from in the evening from Sunday, June 8 to June 13. They will be discovering the depths of the Sacraments, the Joyful Mysteries, apologetics, and chastity.

The Elementary Program for grades 1-6 is during the day Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12. Students will also be exploring the Sacraments and the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. There will be Mass each day, time for Confession, Adoration, and fellowship. Participants are asked to bring a lunch every day except for Friday.

Please pray for the missionaries who will be coming to our parish and diocese. Pray that their hearts will be on fire with the Holy Spirit, and that God’s wonderful message will manifest itself in them as they witness to the awesomeness of our Creator!
